Heat Preserving (IR) Masterbatch

The idea of greenhouse agriculture is to provide the best growing conditions for the plant. Film cover for greenhouse has become an indispensable material in the construction of greenhouse. Such film cover is also called an IR film cover or thermic film cover. As the farmers spend a significant amount to make the structure, it is advisable to use greenhouse IR film cover.

The use of heat preserving (IR) masterbatch in the IR film cover is to reduce thermal radiation transmission. As a result, the hot air of the greenhouse can be preserved inside the greenhouse more efficiently as long as possible. Infrared additives create an interaction with light in the far infrared range. This property keeps the desirable heat in the greenhouse during cold nights. It is compatible with all other additives and polymers used in IR film cover.

It is necessary at places where the night temperature drops below the required temperature for the plants. It creates the best climate for plant growth. This climate is also useful in out-of-season crop production. If the film cover is not heat preserving, then the heat energy escapes into the outer space and the greenhouse temperature will be the same as the temperature of the air outside the structure.
