Vapour Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) Masterbatch

Corrosion is the degradation of metals that is often called rust. The devastating effects of breakdown of metal due to corrosion are known. The corrosion resistance of any material depends on the environment to which it is exposed.

VCI film and paper is a commonly used approach for prevention of metal corrosion. Welset VCI-1001 is nitrite- free and designed for both, ferrous and most of the non- ferrous metals. It releases the active anti-corrosion molecules from the film. To protect the packed articles from corrosion, the VCI masterbatch additive releases anti-corrosion vapour, which deposits on the metal surface and forms a protective mono-ionic layer and provides protection to the packed parts from corrosion.
